Herbal remedy

Are you consuming too much caffeine, that will trigger anxiety.

Also try Bigelow Mint medley tea available at most grocery stores very calming. B complex vitamins support a healthy nervous system - too much sugar can deplete b vitamins.Energy drinks loaded with caffeine and sugar, try to stay away from them.

Also calms forte

Sorry to hear of your panick attacks, I know from previous experience they are no fun. One of the best ways to conquer your panick attacks believe it or not, is to face it.. face your fear. Go to college tomorrow.. and try not to think about having another one. That is one of the reasons they come on. If you go to your health food store and ask for a powder called inositol, you mix it in your o.j and it can help relax you.. there are other things too, make sure your taking enough B vitamins, taking your omega's and your magnesium. Ask your Dr. about tryptophan, its available by prescription in higher doses, and you can ask at the health food store about it too, they may have one available there. You need to practice relaxation therapy. Try breathing from your abdomen. Make sure you focus on your breathing. If you feel an attack coming on, go with it.. dont fight it, just let it ride out. Know that they don't last long, and that it will get better. I have a really good book called "the anxiety and phobia work book" it is very helpful. If you want you can email me, go to my profile and its there. You are not alone.. there are many people who suffer from this. There are many herbal remedies.. but try relaxation therapy as well. Good Luck to you.. ! also, remember that cognitive therapy works! you should seek councelling. It is a great way, they are trained all about panick attacks, and they can help you. Another thing, keep a journal and try to identify your triggers, remember back, what happened? were you nervous about a certain class? test? who were you with? what time of day? don't dwell on it, but take note, so if it does happen again, you can have an idea of whats triggering them. P.S all of those things I recomended are vitamins, and not chemicals. you need minerals too.

<a href="http://kansieo.com">panic attack</a>

You should go to school but you should go to your student health center and ask for an emergency consult with a counselor (otherwise the wait will probably be a few weeks). Tell the counselor about your symptoms honestly and with as little drama as possible and he or she will advise you from there. I would never tell you what you should take for anxiety but if you aren't sleeping as a result of that anxiety the GABA is a very good supplement to take to calm yourself.

<a href=""><a href='http://kansieo.com'>Kansieo.com</a></a>

I was convinced I was having heart attacks so I went to a cardiologist and got completely checked out. I would suggest you do the same to make sure that your "panic attacks" are not something more serious. I had a whole battery of tests done at one of the best hospitals in the country, including an EKG and monitoring by Holter device for a week, and they found nothing.

Once I was convinced that there was nothing physically wrong with me, I was able to fully control my attacks by cutting out coffee and alcohol in excess. I just did this as an experiment. The coffee was difficult at first, but I felt much better once the withdrawal headaches subsided. If you drink coffee, EVEN ONE CUP, as I did, you should try this. Later I found out that fully 50% of the population may have a genetic variation that makes them more susceptible to heart attacks from drinking coffee, even just a few cups a day. I don't know if I have this variation, but it has made a huge positive difference in my life to go without coffee. The palpatations and general vascular instability that I would sometimes feel for days on end have completely disappeared.

If I ever feel as if I'm about to have an attack, which sometimes still occurs (maybe once or twice a year), a medical doctor told me that I can prevent the heart palpatations by taking a deep breath and holding it for say a minute. This puts you in control of the situation and prevents you from panicking and making things worse. It really works.

These simple steps have worked for me for the past 4 years. Are they panic attacks? Do I have the genetic variation? I guess I'll never know now...since I've found ways to prevent my problem...but I'm sure glad I didn't get diagnosed with panic disorder because what I was going through really fits the description, and I would have had to take a whole bunch of medications, possibly unnecessarily.
I was convinced I was having heart attacks so I went to a cardiologist and got completely checked out. I would suggest you do the same to make sure that your “panic attacks” are not something more serious.

I don’t know if I have this variation, but it has made a huge positive difference in my life to go without coffee. The palpatations and general vascular instability that I would sometimes feel for days on end have completely disappeared.

If I ever feel as if I’m about to have an attack, which sometimes still occurs (maybe once or twice a year), a medical doctor told me that I can prevent the heart palpatations by taking a deep breath and holding it for say a minute. This puts you in control of the situation and prevents you from panicking and making things worse. It really works.

These simple steps have worked for me for the past 4 years. Are they panic attacks? Do I have the genetic variation? I guess I’ll never know now…since I’ve found ways to prevent my problem…but I’m sure glad I didn’t get diagnosed with panic disorder because what I was going through really fits the description, and I would have had to take a whole bunch of medications, possibly unnecessarily.
